PerfectNas is actually based on a specific combination of hardware and software though this might change in the future having other well documented successfull combinations.

Features
- SMALL
- 230 x 205 x 190mm
- QUIET
- Completely passive cooling of all the components. Without fans. The only thing that can generate some noise are the hard drives that are even low power and low noise so it is perfect for a domestic environment.
- GREEN
- Power consumption around 30W. All components are specially designed for energy efficiency (processor, hard drives, power supply etc.).
- FAST
- Transfers between the nas and the computers of up to 45MB/s thanks to its gigabit ethernet interface and the other last generation components.
- OPEN
- Built on components that can be easily found on the market so you can expand it (add ram memory or even a pci card). It's actually a mini computer with keyboard, mouse and video outputs so you can reinstall the operating system at any time or even install a different one. Can be used as storage server and/or add any other services (web server, torrents, ftp, etc.). It can also be used as a desktop PC if desired.
- SECURE
- The data contained in the NAS and its configuration is saved simultaneously on two hard drives so if one fails the other is keeping the information. This is called RAID 1.
- SMART
- The Bleu Jour As case has a discreet and comfortable design that fits into any environment.
